Kathy Armstrong is a licensed practical nurse whose previous healthcare experience includes cardiac intensive care nursing, medical office nurse, and management of an urgent care center and internal medicine office. She has studied many different forms of energy healing including Shamballa Multi-dimensional healing, Spring Forest Qi-gong and EFT. She is a certified practitioner and instructor of Quantum-Touch.
Anyone who knows Kathy will tell you the health and wellbeing of animals is her first priority. She is intuitive by nature, which has provided her with guidance and insight throughout her entire life. This ability enabled her to sense a life threatening illness with one of her own dogs in time to prevent her untimely death. Her dog’s health scare is what opened Kathy to the world of energy healing. Following a holistic approach to healing made a remarkable different in the health and wellbeing of her dogs so she has dedicated her life to helping other animals heal naturally. Kathy has mentored with Sharon Callahan spiritual teacher, animal communicator and founder of Anaflora for over fifteen years. The cornerstone of her work is based on Sharon’s teaching and the many lessons her own dogs have taught her. Her dogs have shown her unconditional love that transcended the physical world. They have taught her to trust her intuition and honor the life process and know life continues on even after the physical body dies. Through reincarnation three of her dogs have come back to support her in her quest to help strengthen the animal/human bond. Her vision is to one day open a shelter for neglected and abused animals where they will receive quality medical and holistic care including energy healing and flower essences to facilitate deep physical and emotional healing. It is through the love and support of her family and four dogs she is able to do this amazing work. Because of Kishka, Isky, Shinobee, and Mita’s love and commitment she has honored them in the name of her healing business.
Pet therapy is wonderful method of offering healing to people. There is such a therapeutic affect on people when visited by animals. As a pet therapy team Kathy and her malamute Kishka have seen firsthand the joy and sparkle in the eyes of the people they visit in a local nursing facility and hospital. It’s simply another way to bring the healing power of love to others.
